Section IV: Resources
The Resources Section contains a lot of information! Taking a few minutes to learn the structure of the resources section will make the information more helpful later on.
Get acquainted with Section IV! The section presents a wide variety of resource information in five specific ways. A quick glance at each major part will show how the section is organized and make a lot of information less overwhelming.
1. The first page is contact information to help you get in touch with the
Colorado Council on the Arts, and the regional folklorists who created Ties That Bind. They are ready to assist in any way!2. Second, there is information about the audio and video resources that can now be accessed right on this site! Specific selections are listed for each regional essay and each lesson plan.
3. A third category lists web sites for folklore in education. These references provide even more tools and techniques for using the folk arts in the classroom.
4. Fourth, a very wide variety of other related resources are listed for each regional essay and each lesson plan. These include books, websites, culture groups, organizations, museums, festivals, audio, video and other types of resources.
5. Finally, there is a list of general resources, lesson plans and related websites that are not specific to any particular essay or lesson plan.
