Denver

I'm sitting at the Denver International Airport eating a burger and using the tiny keyboard on my treo to thumb out this post.

This morning I got up and took my kid to her school. My wife noticed that the dog had pulled his stiches out. I thought....uh oh....gonna be one of those days.

Actually the morning was pretty good. I knocked out a little bit of work and then headed to the airport.

Security was pretty light, although I only have boarding passes through Frankfurt. I guess Lufthansa can't issue a ticket from Dulles to Frankfurt in Denver. Go figure.

I just grabbed a burger at the Colorada Sports Bar-the service has been on the light side-and the burger is just passable.

We flew from London to Toronto today. We were told that we would have to clear both Canadian and US customs and board the plane in about an hour and 15 minutes. We rushed through to the Canadian Customs only to find out we were misled. We moved onto US Customs where the line was pretty slow.

Despite our challenges, we made it to our second plane without any trouble. I even had a bit of time to pick up a bottle of scotch from the duty free in Toronto.

We are in a newish Air Canada Airbus with a touch screen TV, emPower, and a USB port to recharge. The TV provides on-demand programming (movies and TV) and games. The power doesn't require an inverter as it boasts a standard plug.

Today Metro Denver was hit by a hail storm. I managed to snap a few pictures and take a short video. The storm lasted for ever leaving more than an inch of hail on the ground. It looked like we had had a snow fall.

Crazy weather.

The Drive Home Yesterday

I grabbed this picture with my Treo 650 this afternoon. The clouds were pretty amazing and were responsible for an eerie quality of light just before twilight. I wish I had brought my regular camera--the sight was amazing.
