Dark Side of the Moon in DenverMy Wife and I just got back from Roger Waters in concert at Denver's Pepsi Center and all I can say is WOW. It was clear from the first set how politically vocal Waters is. Through visuals, inside an abandoned school George W. Bush is compared to Stalin and goes on to comment on how his "Texas education must have *expletive here* you up when you were young Part way through, a giant pig with slogans on it related to religion, torture, and war floated around the Pepsi Center. Smack dab on the spot the pig's genitals would have been seen was a peace symbol. Hundreds of thousands of pieces of paper suddenly appeared in the air and slowly floated around the space. Each and every one read "√ for Obama". His anti-war message was loud and clear declaring that Briton is the poodle to the USA's bulldog. The concert mixed old with new featuring amazing visuals on an enormous screen with two jumbotrons on either side of the screen. At times, astonishing visuals of the sun's corona, clouds, the moon, bizarre blobs, clocks, prisms, photos of people and places were transposed with live action of the musicians. It was bizarre and wonderful and sometimes disturbing. The Dark Side of the Moon was fabulous. I found myself grinning ear to ear as I relived moments in my University days. Fabulous visuals flitted across the giant screen including trains, race cars, satellites, the moon in many incarnations, money, the iconic prism and then suddenly a laser version of the triangle appeared along with scanner-like passes of coloured light across the audience. I was enthralled and entrapped. I loved this concert. (The photo is from Flickr by the "girl from long beach")

Nice
We just caught the Police on Thursday. It seems as if all the old dinosaurs are coming back to life ;)
It was a whole lot of fun.
They may be dinosaurs, but it seems they can still put on a great show.
