I haven't been to a concert in quite some time. I think that the last one may have been a Jars of Clay concert--the second I had been to and was rather disappointed in. In any case, I've been thinking about alternate ways of buying tickets to concerts--Ticketmaster pretty much has a monopoly.

I decided to do a quick search for ticket sellers and discovered that there are many different ticket brokers out there ranging from:

• vividseats
• ticketsnow
• coasttocoasttickets
• concertmaps

I am a Regina Spektor fan and found that there were tickets at most of the services. I would have considered buying tickets through concertmaps but found the tour wasn't coming through my town.

I must admit to being slightly suspicious--there are some complaints when I simply Googled concertmaps. It seems some people didn't get the tickets that they bought and there is even an online petition that claims mis-management.
