Quinn has Stage 5 Lymphoma

I am very sad today. Our little guy Quinn has been feeling under the weather for a little over a week. He has been eating sporadically and has had a hard time keeping his food down. He also has terrible gastro-intestinal issues going on right now. After many visits to the vet and then a stint in the Emergency this past weekend, a specialist has diagnosed him with Stage 5 Lymphoma. The consensus is that treating him with chemo will likely not give us positive results and if they did, his days are severely numbered.
We are busy saying goodbye to him while he still feels relatively good.

Quinn had started lying down in the snow and on the back patio in 19 F (-7 C) weather. He hadn't eaten much of anything in over a week. He would start shaking when he was inside. His gut was giving him huge troubles. His ears were flat against his head and he was hiding under our bed.
We talked to our vet and made the decision to help him on. This morning I took him for a little walk and headed into the vet.
Quinn went peacefully in my arms. He was a good dog right to the end without a mean bone in his body. He will be sorely missed.
I love you Quinnie.
