pingVision has been working on a Drupal update for SportingNews.com. The first phase of the multi-phase project is in testing and when it is released, the public face of the site will boast robust articles with features designed to enhance the news reading experience. However, the best bits are under the hood.

pingVision will present elements of the SportingNews.com Website. Brand new modules were developed with a planned for release to the community. The discussion will include custom workflows; migration of 750,000 users and 32,000 nodes from the legacy system; a massive taxonomy structure to hold sports/team/player heirarchy; and much more. The presentation will consist of a lecture with Q and A focusing on the technical aspects and/or the business concerns that made this project a success.
