Paul Taylor Dance Launches in Drupal 6

Paul Taylor DanceI'm thrilled.

I love working with nonprofits and particularly arts nonprofits. My background is as a painter and a theatre lighting designer. I also worked for Le Groupe Dance Lab for a summer after completing my Certificate of Arts Administration from the University of Ottawa.

I was so pleased when I was asked to Web Produce the rebuild of the Paul Taylor Dance company's site at work at pingVision. I think the end result shows how visually powerful and beautiful Drupal can be. It is a testament that Drupal can look like anything you might want. It is wonderfully flexible.

Over the weekend, the site quietly launched in its new Drupal 6 digs.

Congratulations to the Paul Taylor folks in New York City. The site is gorgeous. I loved working on it.

Did I mention that I'm thrilled?

really nice and simple layout... which Theme is it?

What modules did you use and is the front graphic a VIEW or something more cunning?

  • The theme is based on the Studio Theme Pack
  • The carousels are powered by JavaScript using the jQuery library

Congratulations! Looks great.
Can you share, how the css background image per node was implemented?

Also, is it on purpouse that the images slideshow on the frontpage stops and does not cicle?

Thank-you! I'm very pleased with how the project shook out.

  • I didn't do the theming on the project - however technical bits may come up in a technical case study as the crew has bandwidth.
  • Yes, the slide show ends on the front page on purpose.
